Akash Yadav, is the 1-year toddler of Mr.Ravirajan and Mrs.Sunitha, he is the youngest child amongst 3-elder sisters. The family hail from Chhatarpur, Jharkhand and stay in their own house. Mr.Ravirajan, is an agriculturist and Mrs.Sunitha, is a home-maker. Akash, is a very playful young child and the family shower him with love and affection. His sisters enjoy spending time with him very much.

Medical Details

In June 2021, Akash started having several episodes of vomiting and his stomach had swollen up. His parents took him to a private hospital in Jaldege, Jharkhand, where he underwent a blood-test and X-ray. Post-report analysis revealed that he was suffering from ‘Wilms Tumor’. Akash, was put under observation and was prepared to undergo a tumor removal surgery. Once the surgery was completed, the family were asked to approach HCG Hospital, Ranchi.

At HCG Hospital, the family consulted with Dr. Aftab Alam Ansari, who after observing Akash’s condition and studying his reports suggested that he undergo radiation and continue with chemotherapy.

Akash, is undergoing radiation and the number of chemotherapy cycles will be decided upon, post receiving his radiation report.

Financial Details

The family come from a very low-income background and finding steady work is a challenge. They have spent up-to 3-lakhs, by mortgaging their land and by borrowing money.  They need your help during these troubled times.

Ejas, is a 9-year old boy staying with his family, which hails from Raichur District, Karnataka. The family of 6 stay in their own ‘Janata house’, provided by the government.  Ejas, is a 3rd STD student at the Milton Public School. His father, Mr. Yusif is a tailor and his mother Mrs. Shabana is a house wife. He is the third child amongst his two elder brothers and one younger sister. Ejas, is a very energetic child and loves spending his time playing with his siblings.

Medical Details

Three months ago, Ejas’s family noticed that there was persistant lump that was growing on the left side of his neck. Concerned about this development, they took him to a hospital in Raichur, where he underwent a blood-test and a scan. Post his diagnosis, the doctor referred the family to HCG Hospital, Bengaluru. Towards the end of June, the family consulted with Dr. Sachin at HCG Hospital. After going through his previous-report, he will put into chemotherapy under Dr. Mohammed Naseer. Once he has completed 6-cycles of chemotherapy, he will then undergo BMT under Dr. Sachin Jadav.

So far, he has completed 3-cycles of chemotherapy and has a remaining 3-cycles left to go.

Kishan

About Kishan

Kishan is 6-years old, son of Mr.Anand and Mrs.Chudamani. The family stay in a rented house at Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru; paying INR 7,000/- every month. Mr. Anand works as a goods-driver and Mrs. Chudamani manages the house.  

The family have already gone through enough pain when they lost their daughter 8-years ago. Kishan is currently studying in Leo Kids School. Although, Kishan is a premature child, he is very studious and active when it comes to playing games.  

Medical Details

In May 2021, Kishan was not feeling well and had developed a cough. After going for a check-up to a general physician and getting a few tests done, the Doctor mentioned that everything was normal. A week later, he was experiencing difficulty in sleeping, his concerned parents then took him to a doctor. At Medall Clumax, Bengaluru he underwent an X-Ray and the report showed that water had accumulated in his lungs. He had the water removed from his lungs and was then referred to Rainbow Hospital, Bannerghatta. Upon seeing his swollen body, he underwent a CT-Scan, Blood test and Biopsy. After going through his reports, Kishan was diagnosed with Acute-Lymphoblastic-Leukemia (ALL) and was further referred to HCG Hospital, Bengaluru. 

 On 17th May 2021, the family consulted with Dr. Suma at HCG Hospital. Here he underwent a MRI-Scan, CT-Scan and Blood test. Post his tests, he had been suggested to undergo 7-cycles of chemotherapy. So far, he has completed 2-cycles of chemotherapy and is on supportive care.

He is yet to undergo a remaining 5-cycles of treatment. 

Financial Details

The estimated cost for chemotherapy and supportive is approximately 15-lakhs. By mortgaging their land, jewelry and borrowing money, the family have already spent 4.5-lakhs until now for Kishan’s treatment.  

They have run out of financial resources and need your support.

About Deekshitha

Deekshitha, is a 6-year old child of Mrs. Manjula and Mr. Manjunath. The family are from Bellary, Mrs. Manjula is a housewife and Mr. Manjunath works as a store assistant. Due to the pandemic all schools have been shut and Deekshitha is yet to start her 2nd Grade, at a government school in Bellary.

Deekshitha, is very talented and loves studying and reading new books. She spends her free time in painting, practicing singing and engaging in productive games. Her dream is to become a Doctor when she grows up and help other people.

Medical Details

On the 20th of March 2021, Deekshitha fell down in her bathroom. Her concerned parents took her to a nearby Orthopedic, to undergo an X-Ray to check if she had any fractures due to the fall. The report revealed that her right-knee had severely swollen up. To get further clarity on this development, she underwent an MRI-Scan. Post-report analysis showed that she is suffering from Bone-Cancer and was referred to HCG Hospital, Bengaluru. To get a second opinion, her parents took her to KS-Hospital in Koppal, where she underwent a second round of CT-Scan and MRI-Scan; the report confirming the presence of Bone-Cancer.

On the 26th of March 2021, Deekshitha was admitted at HCG Hospital, Bengaluru; under the consultancy of Dr. Pramod Chinder. As the previous reports weren’t clear, she underwent a MRI-Scan, PET-CT Scan, Biopsy and Bone Marrow tests. After a detailed analysis of all the reports, she was diagnosed with ‘Osteosarcoma’. The line of treatment required is 6-cyccles of chemotherapy and surgery.

Deekshitha, is still undergoing her 2nd-cycle of chemotherapy. Once she has completed the 3rd – cycle of chemotherapy, she will undergo surgery and then the subsequent cycles of treatment.

Financial Details

The family have spent 4.5-lakhs up till now for her treatment. The estimated cost for all the 6-cycles of chemotherapy is 16-lakhs and surgery is 12-lakhs.

About Harsha

Harsha, is a 7-year old child who is part of a joint-family staying in Ramamurthy Nagar, Bengaluru. His father Mr.Ravindra is an agriculturist and his mother Mrs.Lavanya is a house wife, the family stays in a rented house. Harsha, is the eldest child amongst his two younger sisters and a younger brother.

He is currently studying in 1st STD at Narayana School and is very good when it comes to academics. In his free time he loves playing games with his siblings and cousins.

Medical Details

In 2020 November, Harsha developed a fever for which his family took him to a clinic. He was prescribed general antibiotics by the Doctor. However, after a couple of weeks he began throwing-up. A concerned family then took him to consult a Doctor at Shishuka Pediatric Hospital, where he underwent a CT-Scan and X-Ray. The report revealed that there was a secretion of liquid in his lungs and this needed to be removed.

After a few days he began experiencing breathing problems and the family ended up visiting various hospitals to understand what was happening. It was at Manipal Hospital, after going through a CT –Scan that the Doctor informed them that there was the presence of Lymph Nodes, which was causing the secretion of liquid in his lungs and creating difficulty in breathing. Upon the suggestion of a relative, the family then consulted with Dr.Intezar Mehndi in January 2021. At HCG Hospital, Harsha underwent a Biopsy, CT-Scan and X-Ray post which he was diagnosed with ‘Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia’ (ALL). The family was informed about the line of treatment, being 4-cycles of chemotherapy.

Harsha, has finished his 3rd-cycle of induction chemotherapy and further treatment is yet to be decided.

Financial Details

So far the family has spent close to 22-Lakhs, by digging into their savings, mortgaging their jewels and taking money on loan. They have exhausted all their resources and are currently requesting HCG Foundation for support.

Mukesh Patel is a 11-year old kid of Mr. Bagaram & Mrs. Meema Patel. Out of the three children Mukesh is the second child of this couple. The family hails from Rajasthan and they live in their own house of 2 rooms. However, in a small 2-Bedroom house there are a total of 14-family members staying. Which includes the patient’s grandparents and paternal relatives.

Mr. Bagaram is a milk supplier and is also into farming. He earns a meagre  INR 10,000/- per month from this work. The entire family depend on him as the sole bread-winner. 

Medical Details

Mukesh was diagnosed with Carcinoma 6-months back. Since then they have moved to a couple of hospitals for his treatment. The patient’s parents have already paid INR 4-lakhs for his treatment until now and are currently looking for support for his surgery and chemotherapy.

Financial Details

By borrowing money and mortgaging their jewels, the family have spent close to 3.5 to 4 Lakhs for Mukesh’s chemotherapy. Due to the pandemic his brother has also lost his job and the burden is now on Mukesh’s father.

Shridevi is a one and half year old baby girl of the two children of Mr.Dinesh Shetty and Mrs.Ranjitha Shetty. The family hails from Mangalore and they live in their own house, Mr.Dinesh is an agriculturist and is devoted to his work. The house hold chores are managed by Mrs.Ranjitha, in her free time enjoys spending time with both her children.

Medical Details

On the 25th of September 2020, Shridevi was under high fever and was taken to a general pediatrician. Although she was under medication post her visit to the Doctor, her fever didn’t subside. A couple days later, her parents noticed a swelling in her left thigh and took her in for a consultation with a pediatrician at Manjula Nursing Home,Mangalore. Here, she underwent an X-Ray and MRI Scan; the reports revealed that her bone was infected.

On 29th September 2020, Shridevi underwent a biopsy in Mangalore and the sample was sent for testing. Ten days later, it was confirmed that Shridevi had been suffering from Ewing Sarcoma (A cancer that most often occurs in and around the bones). She underwent 8-cycles of chemotherapy, post which the family consulted with Dr.Pramod Chinder at HCG Hospital, Bangalore; for – Tumor excision & Limb Salvage surgery on 12th April 2021.

She has completed her surgery and will be continuing her further chemotherapy sessions in Mangalore.

Financial Details

By borrowing money and mortgaging their jewels, the family has spent close to 15-Lakhs for Shridevi’s chemotherapy and surgery. Due to the pandemic the family had to sell their Hotel, to recover losses.

Sai Charith is 6-years old living with his family in Hoskote,Karnataka. His father Mr.Harish is the driver of a goods-vehicle, his mother Mrs. Navyashree is a housewife and his elder sister Greeshma is studying in 2nd STD in New Horizon School, while Sai Charith is studying is in UKG. The family stay in a house that has been provided by the government.

He is a very enthusiastic child who is good at his studies and enjoys playing games with his sister and watching movies with his family.

Medical Details

In the 1st week of January 2021, Sai Charith was down with fever. Concerned about his well-being and after consulting with the family doctor, he was put under antibiotics. However, the fever didn’t subside, he started experiencing breathing issues for which the doctor suggested he undergo an X-Ray and a blood-test. The reports showed that water had accumulated in his lungs, the family then went to Rainbow Hospital. Here, he underwent a CT-Scan and they also collected samples of the fluid from his lungs for testing. On receiving the reports, he was diagnosed with Acute-Lymphocytic-Leukemia (ALL).

As per the suggestion of the family doctor, they consulted Dr.Shekar Patil at HCG Hospital, Bangalore. The family was then referred to get treated under Pediatric Oncologist Dr.Intezar Mehndi, after going through his report the Doctor suggested that Sai Charith undergo 7-cycles of chemotherapy.

Sai, started his first cycle of chemotherapy on 21st January and is currently undergoing his 5th-cycle of chemotherapy.

Financial Details

The family has already spent 10-Lakhs for his entire treatment, by taking a loan and by mortgaging their jewelry. They have received help from their relatives.

Pankaj is a 4-year old boy, staying with his parents in a rented house in Bidar District, Gulbarga. His father Mr.Rajashekar works in a plastic sag-bag manufacturing factory and earns approximately INR 18,000/- a month, while his mother is a home maker.

Pankaj has an elder brother Prajwal who is studying in 2nd STD, whereas Pankaj is yet to join UKG. He is a very active kid and loves spending time playing with his elder brother.

Medical Details

It started in March 2020, where he started having a few episodes of vomiting. The family took him for a consultation session with a general pediatrician in Gulbarga. After undergoing a chest-scan and blood test, he was put under medication; unfortunately this did not give him any relief.

In April 2020, Pankaj began losing his sense of balance while walking. He underwent an MRI-Scan of his brain and a blood test, after going through the report the Doctor asked the family to consult with a neurologist, as there was a tumor present in his brain and it needed to be operated on. The family took him to Shankar hospital in Sholapur for his surgery, after the biopsy report; they confirmed that he is suffering from Posterior Fossa Meningioma – Grade II.

The family was referred to HCG Gulbarga, where the Doctor went through the reports and Pankaj underwent a 2nd biopsy. Post getting the reports, the line of treatment as radiation was confirmed. He underwent 27-fractions and is yet to undergo 3-fractions. After completing radiation, he will be on his regular follow-up consultations.

About Piyush

Piyush, is a 9-year old boy staying with his family in a rented house in Peenya, Bengaluru. His father, Mr.Suresh works in a provision store and is the sole earning member of the family; while his mother Mrs.Rekha is a house wife.

He is studying in 4th Std and his elder brother Rohit is studying in 6th Std at Arvind International School. Piyush is very smart when it comes to his studies and is also quite talented in drawing too.

Medical Details

It all started on 24th December, 2016 when his neck started swelling up and he complained of dizziness. Concerned about this development his father took him to Manasa Hospital, Vijaynagar; where they got a blood test done. After going through the report, the doctor referred them to KIDWAI. Here, after undergoing another blood test and upon getting the results, they were informed that Piyush has T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL).

His family then took him to HCG MSR, as he had a high-fever; he was admitted to an ICU under the supervision of Dr.Rashmi. She went through his reports and then put together his treatment plan, which was also shared with the family. Piyush underwent a total of 6-cycles of chemotherapy and completed his treatment in August 2017. He was under maintenance chemotherapy for 3-years. In August of 2020, his medication was stopped and he was on his regular follow-ups. In the month of November 2020, his right testis had swollen up – he underwent a biopsy on 12th November 2020 and it was confirmed that, there was a relapse of T-ALL. He underwent surgery on his right testis and began his chemotherapy on 1st December 2020.

He has to undergo a total of 6-cycles of chemotherapy and radiation on his right testis.

Financial Details

The family have spent a total of 16-Lakhs until now for his treatment. They received donations from super minutes channel and support from their relatives.

The approximate cost for his further treatment of chemotherapy is 10-Lakhs, he has to undergo radiation and BMT which will approximately cost 28-Lakhs.
