Internship Program

Objective

The objective of the HCG Foundation’s Internship Program is to provide participants with a learning platform and also to identify bright talent from recognized institutes while building a strong branding channel on campuses both within India and abroad. Through this program, the HCG Foundation will also aim to identify potential talent for various disciplines and gain invaluable insight on how to continue improving as an organization that operates at the nexus of the hospital operations and charity work.

Relevance

This program should be of interest to all prospective future professionals in the non-profit and medical fields. The Foundation accepts applications on an ongoing basis.

Prerequisites for applying

  1. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited school, college or university.
  2. Applicants should possess some educational or work experience in the functional area to which they would like to be assigned.
  3. Applicants should submit the required documentation in full.

Duration

Applicants should make themselves available to participate in the program for a minimum of 1 month, with 3 months being preferable. Tenure is subject to the availability of positions at any given time.

Fees

Interns will be required to pay a nominal administrative fee in order to meet any incidental expenses that may arise during their tenure in the program. This amount will be communicated to the intern following acceptance into the program and before the start of the internship. Fees will be determined in consultation with the Director of the HCG Foundation and will be based on the following criteria: the department or functional area where the intern will be engaged; and the estimated expenses that will be incurred by the Foundation during the course of the intern’s tenure.

Required documents

  1. A completed application form
  2. A cover letter from a representative of the sponsoring institution that clarifies the applicant’s relationship to that institution and their standing to participate in the program
  3. A letter of reference from an individual who can speak to the character of the applicant (delivered in a sealed envelope)
  4. A statement of purpose explaining the applicant’s interest in participating in the program
